I used to make yoghurt all the time. I seem to have lost my touch. This batch was pretty thin. Luckily, I have some friends who’ve hooked me up.

My mom — suburban preppy housewife, graduate of Pembroke, President of the Junior League– used to make yoghurt and grow sprouts on our windowsills. Only recently did it occur to me that this was an unlikely combination.
